Our Approach
Getting a good result, getting a case dropped and getting a not guilty verdict is no accident. It takes hard work, thorough investigation, knowing who to call, knowing what to say, knowing how to negotiate and most of all, knowing how to actually try a criminal case. Prosecutors have to know and respect your word, your trial skills and your character. Judges have to know of your reputation for credibility and honesty. You have to be respected as a worthy adversary to get a good offers. Only if the prosecutor knows he is in for a fight ,against a skilled trial lawyer, who is not afraid to try the case, will he make a reasonable offer. Some lawyers are good at advertising, and making promises, and telling you what you want to hear. At our firm we back up what we have to say with knowledge, and actual courtroom experience. What makes us different from other lawyers?
You have to have walked in the other man's shoes. Both Sean O'Halloran and Peter Aiken were former prosecutors and know the ins and outs of being a prosecutor. What makes them different is that they both have defended cases for decades. They have seen it from both sides. Lots of lawyers brag about being a former prosecutor and winning cases, but how many have actually defended criminal cases for decades. There is no substitute for Courtroom experience as a defense lawyer. We have been in front of hostile judges, dealt with unreasonable prosecutors, lying witnesses, and bad cops and we walk the walk.
